Know the Meanings of the 3 Emergency Evacuation Levels:
Know Possible Emergency Evacuation Routes: Emergency Evacuation Routes Map (map composed of 4 section maps from klickitatcounty.org site. Date of map noted on each map section.)
Keep handy this one-page Evacuation Checklist with items to pack if you have 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours before evacuation, as well as tips to prepare your home for firefighters.
Observe Seasonal Burn Bans. The Burn Ban for Zone 3 (including Snowden) went into effect on 17 June. More information about burn bans and burn ban zones can be found on the County’s Emergency Management web page.
Monitor smoke levels and nearby wildfires during fire season:
Information about current smoke levels can be found at fire.airnow.gov.
Information about the locations and status of wildfires can be found at inciweb.wildfire.gov or using the free Watch Duty app for iPhone and Android phones.
Be Aware of the Current Northwest Preparedness Level (as determined by the Northwest Coordination Center, responsible for coordination of wildland fire management and suppression for Washington and Oregon): LEVEL 5
