Dedication: The mural on this water tank was created by Snowden residents to honor the Fire District #3 volunteers who protect our lives and well-being.
The original tank mural was designed by Diane Gadway and painted in the summer of 1996 by community volunteers: Roderick Allen, Terry Anderson, Marlin Clough, Christine Connolly, Lisa Fagan, Diane & Roger Gadway, Elena & Kevin Smith, and David Thies. It was moved to its current location in 2021 and placed on a concrete pad exposing its unpainted bottom where it had been previously buried.
