Broadband Coming to Upper White Salmon and Snowden – Sign Up Now

Many residents today (if not all) of the Snowden/Burdoin Mt./Columbia Rim Estates/Appleton/TimberValley area only have access to the internet via satellite or DSL lines, both of which have significant data and speed limitations. Well, there may be a solution soon!

There are a few companies who have recently shown interest in bringing true broadband (speeds up to 125mbs) to the residents in the area utilizing the highspeed fiber optic line already installed up Snowden Rd. This will mean faster speeds and larger data plans for those who get connected.

These companies have asked the community for a list of residents who are interested in having broadband so we can expedite the process. Accordingly, the Snowden Community Council is compiling a list of names to provide to these companies. If you are interested just provide your name, address, phone and e-mail information to Jim Von Mosch at jkvonmosch@gmail.com or call him at 509-493-2246.

This will not commit you to any data plan or service. The list is only to show the level of community interest and need for broadband. Sign up by May 20th if you currently have inadequate internet access or you are using the slow and expensive satellite or DSL services.
